We carry out research and education pertaining to the development of functional gametes (egg and sperm) in mammals with the focus on intracellular signal transduction. In the recent projects of our research, cell biological and biochemical approaches are used to elucidate regulatory mechanisms for oocyte growth and maturation, sperm motility, capacitation-acrosome reaction and fertilization.
